CROPEX also introduced to EPHZHB the new regulation on issuing energy licences that allows issuance of licences by the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency to companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as to the companies from countries of the Energy Community without the need for establishment of companies or subsidiaries in Croatia. With the liberalization of issuing the energy licences, Croatian electricity market has become more accessible for buying and selling at the bilateral and organized electricity market.

CROPEX is neighbouring EU power exchange to Bosnia and Herzegovina which is involved in the operational work of MRC (Multi Regional Coupling) day ahead EU market, which opens an additional possibility to market participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina for a simple, transparent and effective buying and selling of electricity with no counterparty risk, as CROPEX is assuming the role of central counterparty for all trades.

EPHZHB introduced CROPEX with basic characteristics from their work and business plans. EPHZHB reported that it fully supports the CROPEX activities and hopes to become active member on CROPEX market very soon. EPHZHB sees the opportunities to strengthen its market position in the EU market through its cooperation with CROPEX and gives its full support to CROPEX in strengthening bilateral activities on coupling respective electricity markets of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of an integrated EU market with the involvement of all key stakeholders and institutions of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
