At the session of the Croatian Parliament held on 7th December 2018, the Amendment to the Law on Renewable Energy Sources and High Efficiency Cogeneration was enacted. It was published in Narodne Novine, and is available on the following link.

The Law defines the beginning of operation of the ECO balance group as of 1st January 2019.

The Decree on the share of net supplied electricity from privileged producers, by which the obligation of buying the green energy by the suppliers, at a reference price, has decreased from today’s 100% to 70%, while the remaining 30% of the energy is planned to be sold directly on the power exchange, i.e. CROPEX. The document is in a public hearing that lasts until 19th December 2018 and is still not in its final form. This decision represents first step towards full liberalisation of green electricity market in Croatia.
